I have experienced the same with my 7.5.1 client. I had no issues for weeks and then one day all my emoticons disappeared (my added images + the smiley face images). If I had personal images back in on the next restart of the Connect client they are unavailable again. I have discovered that I can add the smiley face images from directory C:\Program Files\IBM\Sametime Connect\plugins\com.ibm.collaboration.realtime.palettes_7.5.1.20070416\smileys but the keyboard association is lost. An uninstall/reinstall of the client did not resolve. I have opened a ticket on this issue.
